Taste: An Indian would be disgraced by this place
Got the lamb biryani, really good. Everything has kind of a weird herbal flavor compared to other Indian food, you'll either love it or hate it but I loved it. But the best part is, their service is kickass. Lots of attention from the servers, good presentation, and they will customize a dish for you. Fair warning, prices on their website are really low, they're actually much higher at least if you show up at dinnertime. Must be lunch prices or something. That's the only reason they lose a star, the place is great.
Love the buffet. Fresh food and lots of interesting flavors. Courteous staff, too.
Service: Subpar
This is a lousy place. The buffet dinner is charged 20 but the variety of food is less than 10 items. The bread served isn't fresh. The service was very poor and when I tipped the waitress less because of lousy service, the owner kept staring at me and went nodding his head. Total waste of time and money.
Price: Ridiculous
Family of five, ordered a la carte for dinner. Food was very good, creative and varied flavors. Service was fairly attentive and friendly. When the bill arrived, I thought $138 was a bit high. The bill itself was obscurely itemized, like a hardware store receipt. I inquired of the waiter whether the tip were included. He looked over nonchalantly "let me see, oh yes" --pointing to $18.95, toward the bottom of the tally-- "right here". Fine, I thought; I normally leave ~20% when food and service are good, but I don't want to double tip. He took my card, and magically, when he returned with the credit card receipt to sign, the total had grown to $148. Easily could have given restaurant five stars, but the waiter's short-sighted, selfish and dishonest antics to rip off a happy and would be loyal customer does himself and the restaurant a great disservice! I said nothing, but it makes me pause before going back!
Avoid this place like the plague, food can barely be considered edible. Your stomach will also agree with that statement. Also the service is horrible, called and ordered food. Waited 25 min, showed up and still waited 20 more min for 2 orders of chicken tikka + 2 naan and 1 rice. 19 dollars for each order of chicken tikka...what does this place think it is? I can go to any high quality indain establishment and get a dish of chicken tikka for 10-15 dollars no problem AND comes with rice!!!! The food tasted awful, I threw almost the whole thing away. We paid like 50 dollars for 2 peoples dinners. What a joke could have gone to boston instead.
